FAQ:
GoLogic™
software
Version 5.18 and above supports Windows® 7, Vista, and XP (both 32-bit and 64-vit versions). Our version 5.18 software can also be installed under Windows 2000. However, NCI no longer supports Windows 2000 and cannot provide support for technical problems that may arise. A special device driver from our downloads page must be used under Windows 2000. Our older version v4.34 software is still available for download and can be installed under Windows 98se, ME, NT4, 2000, and XP. This older software does not support Windows 7 or Vista, nor any 64-bit version of Windows. Technical support for this obsolete software is available, but any bugs which may exist cannot be corrected. Download our demo software to see how easy GoLogic™ is to use!
No. Although Windows® emulators exist for these
platforms, the GoLogic™ USB drivers cannot be used with Unix/Linux/Apple
platforms.
No.
Yes. The GoLogic's™ trigger-out connector outputs a TTL rising edge signal
when it triggers. This signal can be used to trigger an external
oscilloscope so that the logic analyzer and scope data is time-aligned. The
GoLogic™ includes a coaxial cable for the trigger-out connector.
Yes. Scope data can be viewed in the WaveForm
window. Our
ScopeLink feature
imports data from Tektronix, LeCroy, and Agilent digital
storage oscilloscopes via RS-232, GPIB, or Ethernet connection.
Yes. Trace data can be viewed as a "Time vs. Magnitude" graph in the waveform window. This
feature is most useful when the logic analyzer captures output data from an A/D converter.
Yes. The Numeric window and many PlugIns can be exported to an ASCII text file. The trace
data can be formatted as binary, octal, signed/unsigned decimal, or hexadecimal values so
that Excel or MathCad can easily import the file.
Yes. The PlugIn Development Kit (PDK) allows you to create custom data
analysis windows for the GoLogic™ software. No Windows programming experience
is required to create a disassembler PlugIn. However, C programming
knowledge is required. We provide example C source code
and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 example projects. The PDK is provided
free to our customers and is available on our
Downloads page.
Yes. The Software Development Kit (SDK) provides C/C++ static and dynamic link libraries that interface with the GoLogic™. A Visual Basic example is also provided. The SDK is provided free to our customers and is available on our Downloads page. |
